The future of radio in Serbia presented in Yerevan
A delegation of the Regulatory Authority for Electronic Media participated last week, from 8 to 10 October, in the 23rd Plenary Assembly of the Mediterranean Network of Regulatory Authorities (MNRA) in Yerevan (Armenia), where it presented the future of radio in Serbia.
Reviewing the current state and future of radio among the MNRA member states was one of the topics of the first day of the conference, during which the Regulator’s delegation presented the situation regarding the introduction of the DAB+ system in Serbia. The Regulator’s delegation further emphasised the importance of this topic in the light of the celebration of the centenary of the existence of Radio Belgrade, which was especially highlighted to colleagues present.
The topics discussed at this meeting included the use of artificial intelligence in the work of regulators, the application of UNESCO’s Principles for the Governance of Digital Platforms, media literacy and media and gender equality.
The plenary session was organised by the Commission on Television and Radio of Armenia, which assumed chairmanship of the Network consisting of 27 regulators from 24 different countries.
